So Desperado from Sleeping Geeks recently posted a template called 50 Anime Questions. The idea sounded interesting so here are my answers to the 50 Anime Questions that he posted (you can find out more about the template here).
50 Anime Questions
Who is your favorite male anime character?
Saitama fron One Punch Man. Even though he has strength beyond imagination, he’s still a very relatable person in terms of his personality
Who is your favorite female character?
This is a very tough one but I’d have to settle with Aisaka Taiga from Toradora. She’s completely different to the average tsundere you see in most anime and she’s not afraid to stand her ground, despite her small stature
What is your favorite anime soundtrack?
I absolutely love the Samurai Champloo soundtrack! The mix of hip hop with traditional Japanese music works beautifully together
What is your favorite anime opening + animation?
Definitely loved the opening theme of One Punch Man. It just gets your adrenaline going after listening to it
What is your favorite anime ending song + animation?
I will have to go with the ending to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai; it gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it and it perfectly captures the mood and tone of the series
What is your favorite anime scene?
There are way to many to name but my personal favourite would have to be when the truth behind all the strange occurrences in Hinamizawa is revealed in Higurashi Kai (avoiding spoilers for those who haven’t watched it yet)
If you could meet an anime character who would it be?
Izumi Konata from Lucky Star so that we can have multiple conversations about otaku culture
What anime character is most similar to you in terms of personality?
Probably Gouda Takeo from Ore Monogatari since he’s mostly me in a nutshell (minus the giant body)
What is your favorite thing about anime?
What I love about anime is the unique way stories are told. At the heart of each anime, there’s something that we all can relate to in our lives; whether it be love, failure or even the death of a loved one
What is your least favorite thing about anime?
While I do enjoy fan service, a little too much of it can get quite annoying and off-putting after a while
Who are your favorite anime couple?
I have seen so many amazing anime couples over the years but the one that sticks in my mind is Maaka Karin and Usui Kenta from Karin/Chibi Vampire. The manga is 10x better than the anime, in my opinion
Who is your favorite anime animal?
Does Pikachu count?
What anime would make a good game?
I could see Black Lagoon being a good game
What game would make a good anime?
Maybe Outlast could work as an anime. Haven’t watched a decent horror anime in a while
What was the first anime you ever watched?
Dragonball Z
Do you think you’ll ever stop watching anime?
I don’t think I’ll ever stop watching it. It has become an important part of my life and makes up a part of who I am as a person
What is your favorite genre of anime?
Mostly action, comedy, romance, slice of life and psychological thrillers
What is your least favorite genre of anime?
Mecha
Are you open about watching anime with people you know?
I am but it all depends on the person
Have you ever been to Japan?
Not yet, but I hope to one day
What anime was the biggest let down for you?
Eureka Seven AO. It didn’t have the same charm the original series had
What anime was better than expected?
Toradora. I’ve seen my fair share of high school romantic comedies but this one was better than any others I’ve seen before
What is the best anime fight scene?
Oh goodness! This is a very difficult question. My best anime fight scene would have to be Ichigo vs Hollow Ichigo from Bleach. It was quite an intense fight
Who is your anime waifu?
Probably Yui Hirasawa from K-ON!
What was your favorite video game as a child?
Definitely loved playing Tekken as a child and still do today

Luckily I never had any serious injuries in my life. The worst time I was hurt was when I dislocated my pinky finger

Teasing people until it’s not a joke anymore

Nope

Are you a morning person or a night person?
That answer changes every day but I’m more a night person
Have you ever slept past mid-day?
I have but that usually happens after New Year’s Eve
Do you regret anything?
Too many to name unfortunately
Can you count the number of friends you have on one hand?
Yes I can

Yes I do
Are you a picky eater?
Not really. I don’t like eating fruit though

Depends on the person and the situation we’re in
