You read that right, fighting game fans, King of Fighters XIV has been announced for a 2016 release for PS4. No word yet on a Western release and whether the game will come out on PC or Xbox One at a later stage.
Why Choices Matter
We all have to make choices in our lives. Maybe you only have time to watch one episode of any anime and you need to decide which one to watch, or maybe you need to decide whether you want to study for that test the next day or go out clubbing with your friends. In any case, some decisions may be more important than others. How, then, does this reflect in games where your decisions determine the path in which the storyline goes? The Walking Dead, Telltale Games’ hit game, is a perfect example of this. If you have not played it yet, I highly recommend that you do. The game does a great job at making you second guess your choices, hoping that you made the right one.
Let’s Fighting Love
A while ago I read a post by Aniplays about his love for fighting games and how much they mean to him. When I read it, it made me think about my own love for fighting games and how special the genre is to my life.
Gamer’s Corner: Witcher 3
When Witcher 3 was first announced last year I did not pay much attention to it as I wasn’t acquainted with the series at the time. When GOG offered Witcher 2 for free during their winter sale at the end of last year I immediately took the opportunity to try out the series that took the world by storm. I have to say, Witcher 2 absolutely blew me away in terms of its storytelling, gameplay and RPG elements: it was a fresh take on the genre. Completing Witcher 2 naturally got me excited for Witcher 3. Even though I have played about 30 hours of the game so far I am still far from finished.
